Valtournenche

Valtournenche, the birthplace of the first Matterhorn climbers, is a historic alpine village rich in mountain tradition and charm. Set at 1,500 meters in the Aosta Valley, it combines direct access to the vast Cervinia–Zermatt ski area with miles of summer hiking and biking trails through pristine alpine meadows. Its stone houses, centuries-old churches, and warm hospitality reflect an authentic Valdostan spirit, while excellent restaurants, lifts, and family-friendly facilities make it a perfect base for exploring the Matterhorn region year-round.
